I was going to wait on this but I can no longer hold back. My nephew has four healthy, active, beautiful children. Approximately 2 weeks ago his eldest son (10 years old) got sick and had typical symptoms of a bad flu virus. One morning, a couple days into it, he woke up and could not lift his head, nor move his arms and legs. He was basically paralyzed from the neck down. He was taken to Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis for treatment and they were scrambling to find out exactly what it was. The doctors were looking at possibly a sever case of Mononuecliosis (sp?), Guillen Barre Syndrome (sp?) also known as French Polio, Meningitis and just about everything they could think of. Numerous spinal taps and tests were failing to give them an answer. Needless to say prayer chains and groups were started immediately by family and friends to pray fro this little guy. He had times where he was having hard times breathing, he couldn’t hold down food and he just wanted to go home. My nephew and his wife and grandparents were holding round the clock vigils by his bedside so he wouldn’t be left alone. The support from their local church family was incredible. Hope was always present but after 14 days and he still could not hold his head up or even move his legs, they still did not know what was causing this.  I’m leaving out many parts of this but I’ll try to keep this short. Children’s Hospital  Doctors (who see just about everything across the board) just scratched their heads. The decision was made to transfer him to one of the most world reknown facilities in the world, The Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, Minnesota. Gregory (his name) was admitted and everyone was hoping, praying, crossing fingers and just about anything, that this team of specialists would be able to find an answer. They actually had not started any treatment but were asking Gregory and the family all sorts of questions to try and find out what was going on. My nephew, who was probably emotionally spent, stepped out to get a haircut while Gregory’s mom stayed with him. About thirty minutes later when he returned to the hospital room Gregory had a big smile on his face. His Mom told my nephew (her husband ) Gregory wants to show you something. My nephew though maybe things were starting to turn for Gregory.  Maybe wiggle a toe or a finger, maybe even be able to support his own head without pillows on the side. Gregory lifted both of his hands in the air above his head, wiggled his head back and forth like he was watching a tennis match and even lifted his legs high in the air. PRAISE GOD! PRAISE GOD! This all happened in less than 30 minutes time. No new treatment had been started by the Mayo Clinic….nothing!  I can see if it was a gradual thing over a few days, weeks or even months that you might say this thing was running its course and the body was healing itself, along with medical treatments…….but this was almost immediate!  From lying paralyzed for 2 weeks to lifting your legs and hands up in the air?????  Buddy don’t you ever try to convince me that Miracle don’t happen.!!!!! I know they do and my family just had one happen. WOW!! PRAISE GOD  PRAISE GOD  PRAISE GOD!!!!!
