School is back IN!

I guess it has been a long time since I have posted hasn’t it. Not that anyone really ever reads these things anyway. Summer zipped by of course it was about half and half as far as beautiful weather versus so-so weather. All in all it was pretty darn good though!  I love the Pacific Northwest climate. You get a few hot days everyyear but you rarely ever have to worry about it sticking aroundvery long. Okay enough about the weather. The most important thing I believe (other than My wife and kids) is this upcoming election. I know there are a lot of people on both sides of the “aisle” who want the best for their lives and for those they love.  Both sides feel that they are right in their convictions and how to achieve that. Both feel that they love this country as much as the other. Both feel that in the eyes of their “Creator” that they are doing what is right and just……….but wait a minute. I think that is where we differ.  I think it is safe to say that the conservative side, which includes the religious right, probably has a stronger belief in God as a whole.

I watched in sadness and in disgust as the Democratic convention was airing their platform at the DN Convention a few weeks ago. Did you hear the chorus of boos when it was stated that “God” would be added back into the speech. People were actually “booing God”. This is most definitely not the Democratic party of my father. I am so totally for religious freedom and for people to worship freely in a way that they want to but WOW!

You can not deny that this country was founded on religious freedom and many risked their lives (and died) to cross the oceans to be able to do just that. When they first said that they going to omit God and snub Israel the Dems were all happy aboput it. When the flak started to fly then there was some flimsy excuse about it being a clerical error or such so they added those items back in. I am sorry but I feel that half the reason this country is in such a mess is that we have turned our backs to God. We don’t allow Him in our schools or public places.  The press makes fun of Christians on a regular basis. Our movies from Hollywood rarely have themes of good family values that have religious themes. We pass laws that say it is okay to strip a baby from it’s mothers womb and kill it.

How much more do you think God is going to take? Now we are booing Him in public arenas as we try to decide who is going to lead our country out of this mess we are in. I am sorry to say this but this is just the way I feel. If you vote for Obama in this election I don’t know how you can say you are following the Christian faith? there I said it and I’ll probably take some flak for it but hey I am an American and I have the right to say how I feel. At least for now! Pray for this country and pray hard!

School is Almost Out

Well summer is just around the corner of course and once again I scratch my head and wonder where did the last school year go to. Going by average life expectancy figures, I calculate that I am probaly about 60 % done with my life and every year seems to pick up speed. My parents told me it would happen and I just didn’t believe them until it did.

Since I last commented on this forum we (the conservatives) have narrowed down our choice to Mitt Romney for our candidate going into the fall election. Romney wasn’t my first choice but I can deal with that as long as we get Obama out of office. I will be glad when we finish this because I am so darn sick of the mud slinging and character assasination. The latest vollies have been particularly maddening. The Dems don’t want to focus on the real issues this country has to tackle but instead try to bring to the forefront, some shenannigans Romney was involved in in high school like cutting a kids hair. Is That All You Got???? Obama stated that his last few years of high school were a blurr. And that he was doing drugs like marijuana and cocaine and no one seems to give a darn.

We all did things in high school that we are not proud of. I’m sure Obama doesn’t do drugs anymore (although sometimes I wonder with some of his policies) and I know Mitt Romney hasn’t cut anybody’s hair for a while. We are different people from when we were in high school. If we aren’t then we haven’t grown at all and we have been spending the last 37 years (in my case) in a vacuum. Man if I ever tried to run for public office and got vetted, I wouldn’t last a week with all the crazy stuff we did in high school.  Obama and the Dems can not run on their record and they darn well know it so they have to try and drudge up any silly little thing they can to distract from that. I don’t think it is going to work folks. And we still have some crazies out there thinking that they are going to get Obama thrown out of office because of his birth certificate. Come on! I personally don’t care if the guy was born in the Antarctic as long as he can do the job.  I think that a majority of Americans will wake up and see that we need to change direction.  If we don’t  and Americans vote the same way they did in  2008, then we just plain deserve what we get I guess. Whenever I hear of all these polls I get a little frustrated because they can so easily be skewed to get a result that is desired of the pollster or special interest group that is looking for ammunition to bolster their position. As far as the press “reporting” on things, they simply can not be trusted any more. Take the Trayvon Martin case for example. NBC actually editing the tape to make it look like the accused ( George Zimmerman) was  a racist. How many pictures of Trayvon did you see that showed this little angelic face of a 12 year old instead of the gold-toothed, tatooed thug that he really looked like? Where as Gearge Zimmerman is shown in the orange jumpsuit that detainees wear.I’m not saying Trayvon deserved what he got but come on! lets at least present the facts and quit trying to sway public opinion. Isn’t it funny how President Obama is the first “Black” president and not the mixed half-white/half black president. Let’s see ..his mom was white and he was partially raised by his white Grandparents and he actually went to some pretty prestigious schools where most minorities wouldn’t get to go. His “Black ” father basically abandoned him and his mom as a little boy but yet his “whiteness” is rarely  mentioned. His book of course was titled “Dreams of my Father”. It would have to be “dreams” because his father was never around. I am not a racist. Heck I have two wonderful adopted kids whom I love more than life itself and they are of different race than myself. I digress here so back on track….. when it comes to George Zimmerman he was recently referred to as a “White man with hispanic heritage” ????excuse me? God how I hate the media. The media always wants to play the race card.  If you disagree with Obama you are labled a racist.  Please do not trust them and research stories and make your own formulated opinions based on facts. If George Zimmerman actually just decided he was going to shoot Trayvon because he was a black kid then he should be punished to the full extent of the law. The facts (fractured nose, blacke eyes and gashes to his head, the close range shot) don’t seem to be supporting that theory but the press sure wants it to play that way. If anything I think George Zimmerman is incredibly dumb for approaching Trayvon in the first place, especially after police alledgedly told he to stay away. He is guilty of stupidity and poor judgement but not murder!! I think it is a case of an unfortunate and sad event that snowballed out of control only to culminate in a tragic ending.

Aw shucks! I stopped to take a breath and I did it again…ranted and rambled! Sorry! It is late and I gott’a go so remember to vote Republican and I’ll see you later!

Obama Changes Tune

The word is that our President Obama is announcing later on today that he is revamping his policy on making Catholic and other religious organizations dispense abortion and birth control medications. Gee isn’t he a sensitive kind person? He and the Democrats were willing to try and shove this down our throats even though he knew damn well that it was against our religious beliefs. I wonder if it is because people of conscience were not willing to just sit back and take it. Gee you think it was because of election year????…..hmmmmhmmmm!  Just not sure on that one!  What a Creep! I pray to God that he loses this election! There is so much at stake this time. This is the most important election that I have ever had the opportunity to vote in. Please make sure that you and everyone you know is up on the facts and excercises his/her right to vote. We can still turn this country around.  Although having the people vote can be kind of scary. Thats how we elected Obama in the first place. A guy with such little experience (community organizer..whoopde do) and such radical ideas designed to take away freedoms from us. Well how is all that “hope and change” working out for you??  Oh well, don’t mean to rant.
