You've got to be kidding me!  A little over two weeks and the kids will be back in school for the new year.  Hopefully no teachers strikes this year to mess up the school year vacations. All in all a pretty uneventful, but pleasant, summer vacation. I have already taken the down the pool and of course we get another "heatwave" here in the Seattle area. I am not going to put it back up and waste all that water for just a few days. Time to break out the garden hose I guess and get creative.  We have a substantially steep hill in the back yard that is perfect for a long roll of plastic and some water and "Voil'a" a water slide is born. We also have pets too so we have to make sure the "lawn fudge" is picked up because that can get ugly in your barefeet.....yuck!! I digress!  Looking forward to the fall elections and hoping that some sanity is returned to our political process. It feels to me like there needs to be a thorough sweep of sopme of these candidates who do not respect or reflect the will of the people. I am talking about both of the major parties of course. sorry , but I just have a very conservative set of core values and I think it is time to get back to them. Funny how the liberal candidates are trying to sound more and more conservative in the days just before the elections. Funny how Harry Reid's kid will not use his last name in his campaign so as not to be associated with his idiot father. Funny how that hope and change is going over so well. Obama's big sell to the American people was going to be how he would unite the parties. Funny how we are more partisan and divided then ever before. Funny how Obama's says how tough this is going to be for America and that we have to "tighten our belts" while his wife and kids are spending millions upon millions of our precious tax dollars on their lovely little vacation.  If Bush had done that you know how the lamestream press would be screaming and crying?? Wasn't there some palce in America that these people could have vacationed for a whole lot cheaper?  Plus, in turn the money they did spend could be pumped back into the local economy. Way to tighten your belt Michelle Obama. Hey doesn't the White House have a bowling alley and some other cool stuff? Funny how that all works isn't it?  Hope and change!!!!  Hhhmmm! Think I've about had my fill of it.  Well I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer and hope that this fall has some glimmers of hope in it.  Lets turn this thing around!

Looks like I am turning into a regular performer at the Uncorked Wine Bar in Snoqualmie, WA up on Snoqualmie Ridge. I will be there on August 28th, September 11th and every other Saturday night after that  from about 7:30 PM to 10:??  This is a really classy little place with fantastic wines and awesome food.  You won't be dissappointed if you make the trip up to the ridge.  Check out this link:      http://uncorked-wine.com/

I will also be at the 909 Coffe and Wine Bistro on Sept 4th. That will be the Saturday night of this year's Labor Day Weekend.

My daughter took several of my videos I made for an "America's Got Talent" tryout and put them on the web in the Youtube realm.  Just go to youtube and type in FIREMANOLY and they should pop up.  Or to make it easier just click on one of these links to see my own Youtube Channel or one of the videos my daughter  put on her own channel.

Kind'a cool but also kind'a wierd to see yourself on screen.  As usual I make some mistakes and as usual I look like I just came back from a camping trip but take it for what it is and I hope you enjoy it.  Later Gator!

Thank you so much for visiting my site. I am a singer/songwriter of sorts, and decided to start this site as a way for people to listen to a sample of my music, find out where I am currently playing, and what events I will be playing for in the future. Also you will be able to order CDs on-line soon.

Although I do play secular music for certain venues, I consider myself mainly a contemporary Christian artist. My aim in life is to continue to grow in my relationship with Christ, my family, and with my music. I hope you will sign my guest book and give me your thoughts on what you liked/didn't like on the site or what you think would make it better. It is a work in progress so I will be tweaking it as I go and someday I hope to have a highly polished product for you.

I hope that this site will continue to grow, get better, and be an interesting place for you to visit once in a while.

I hope to meet you in person for weekly mass at St. Stephen the Martyr Church in Renton , WA (Sunday evenings) or at one of the other events I may be playing for.

God Bless You,

Your Friend in Christ,

-Steve Olson
